YMCB teaming up with EMEN

To build a strong active community, YMCB is joining forces with EMEN – the European Migrant Entrepreneurship Network! A joint LinkedIn group will bring together Communities of Practice developed within both projects with a view to capitalize on complementary activities as well as overlapping actions, enabling us to reach out to wider audience and strengthen the impact.

Three Communities of Practice were established under EMEN with an objective to share information and knowledge and disseminate good practice on three areas that are key to supporting migrant entrepreneurship in the short to medium term:

  1. Coaching and mentoring (led by Social Impact GmbH, Berlin)
  2.  Access to finance (led by THUAS-FN, The Hague)
  3. Professionalisation of migrant entrepreneurs’ associations and diversity management in chambers of commerce (led by UNITEE and EUROCHAMBRES, Brussels)

The CoPs are open to all organisations supporting migrant entrepreneurs and they operate continually via online and physical meetings.

The project focuses on sharing approaches and lessons learnt across and between public administrations, business development support and financial organisations, social enterprises, non-profit organisations, educational institutions and other public and private organisations supporting migrant entrepreneurship at all levels: cities, regions and countries.

In light of widening the cooperation, we invite all those organisations providing business support for migrant entrepreneurs as well as organisations working with young migrants to join and share with this large community their ideas, concerns, comments, and practices so that together, we can keep improving the services prospective migrant entrepreneurs received to ensure their successful labour market integration in the EU society.
