1819.brussels

1819 is the information service par excellence for all entrepreneurs in the Brussels-Capital Region. This service has a dual objective:

  • provide entrepreneurs with front-line information on the various aspects related to the exercise of an economic activity (financing, public aid for the creation or development of a business, choice of a legal form and social status, administrative procedures and access to the profession, authorizations necessary to start a new activity, etc.).
  • guide companies in the Brussels network of accompanying institutions and bodies. To do this, 1819 is in constant contact with a particularly extensive network of public bodies and private companies or associations that train, accompany, finance, or support Brussels entrepreneurs.

In addition, the 1819 service works for a more developed entrepreneurial culture and raises awareness among young people, women and job seekers in Brussels. In this context, it also coordinates the following regional projects:

  • Young Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow (YET) designed to raise awareness of entrepreneurship among young people.
  • Women in Business, which aims to raise women’s awareness of business creation.
The “self-employment creation platform” that targets job seekers and is managed in collaboration with Actiris.

1819 is financed by the Minister of Economy of the Brussels-Capital Region. The service is physically hosted by the Brussels agency for the accompaniment of the company, Hub.brussels.
