The Forest Local Mission was created in 1989 by the municipality and Forest associations with the support of Actiris, Brussels-Formation, COCOF, the Brussels-Capital Region, the European Social Fund and the Federal Government. It implements actions in the context of socio-professional integration and community development.
One of its priorities is the support of job seekers: reception, orientation, determination, upgrading, individual support, training and job search.
The Local Mission organizes qualifying training, on an ad hoc basis, according to the job market. These training courses are carried out in close collaboration with Actiris, Brussels-Training, the professional or business sectors.
It manages PTP (professional transition program) contracts that are fixed-term employment contracts with training plans in the field of construction, animation, public cleanliness and public development.
