Solvay Business School (VUB), in cooperation with three funding partners, Close The Gap, BNP Paribas Fortis and Euroclear – created the Chair for Social Entrepreneurship in October, 2015. We bring together both academia and business in search for sustainable business models of social entrepreneurship. Our mission is to become a center of excellence for social entrepreneurship. We want to support social entrepreneurs in their ambition to develop entrepreneurial and innovative approaches for resolving the sustainability issues of our society. We would like to realize this by developing an interdisciplinary network.
PLATFORM: The Chair provides a crowdsourcing and -funding platform to provide a necessary tool for social entrepreneurs to develop themselves.
SUPPORT: The Chair firmly believes in social entrepreneurs first. We provide a hands-on support, and aim to help along the way, no matter what stage you’re in.
RESEARCH: Our core team aims to generate internationally recognized scientific research with regards to business models, ecosystems and internationalization on SE.
NETWORK: The Chair provides a vibrant international network to the benefit of both research on and social entrepreneurs themselves.
